Job summary

OneTrust is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to guide technical direction across major features and systems. You will own design decisions, collaborate with Product and UX, and mentor engineers to raise technical standards.

This role emphasizes independent problem solving, system thinking, and deep frontend/backend expertise with cloud experience. Office-first culture with in-person collaboration three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Track record leading technical initiatives spanning multiple engineers or systems.
• Deep expertise in frontend and/or backend technologies with cloud architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture for major features or components, aligned with system architecture.
• Determine approach independently on complex, ambiguous assignments.
• Partner with product and UX to shape solutions before implementation.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to grow their technical judgment.
• Establish engineering best practices adopted by the team and beyond.
