Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Search / AI to lead architecture and delivery of scalable, cloud-native microservices and AI capabilities. You will shape the technical strategy, design robust APIs, and drive deployment in a CI/CD environment.

You will build AI-powered search, recommendations, and decision-support, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and business teams to deliver modular, intelligent solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering across full SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise architecture and technical strategy with focus on microservices and AI platform engineering.
• Design and develop scalable microservices architectures, APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Lead the development and integration of AI/ML solutions including LLMs and RAG.
• Develop scalable data platforms and pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
• Enable AI-powered capabilities such as intelligent search, recommendations, and decision-support.
• Lead dev of search algorithms using Elastic/OpenSearch/Solr.
• Promote CI/CD, DevOps and automated testing with modern tooling.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and performance with monitoring and SRE practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders; mentor engineers.
