Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Search / AI to drive architecture for cloud-native microservices and AI capabilities. You will lead design, implementation, and delivery of scalable systems with real-time data pipelines and AI-powered features.

You\'ll work with product managers and engineers to shape strategy, institute CI/CD, observability, and production readiness while mentoring engineers and promoting responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering (full SDLC).
• 5+ years building enterprise-scale cloud-native applications (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
• Experience with search tech (Elastic/OpenSearch/Solr/Lucene) and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise architecture and microservices-based design with AI platform engineering.
• Lead development of AI/ML solutions, including LLMs, RAG, and agentic frameworks.
• Develop scalable data pipelines for real-time and batch processing across enterprise systems.
• Enable AI-powered capabilities like intelligent search, recommendations, and decision-support systems.
• Lead design reviews and mentoring to promote best practices and production readiness.
