Job summary

Pivotal Health is hiring for an experienced engineer to help build our AI-driven IDR platform. You will transform customer feedback into rapid prototypes and scale them with a production-oriented team.

You’ll contribute across backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and AI-powered workflows, using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript. Remote/hybrid options apply; core hubs in LA/NY, with nationwide flexibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production software experience, including startup/new-product teams.
• Strong backend with Python (FastAPI or similar) and relational DBs (PostgreSQL).
• Ability to ship full product experiences using React/TypeScript.
• Experience learning from customers and adapting product direction.
• Experience building with large language models (LLMs).
• Comfort making decisions with imperfect information and revisiting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Join customer calls and site visits, turning feedback into prototypes often within a week.
• Build new products from zero to one across backend services, APIs, data pipelines, AI-driven workflows, and React front ends.
• Design experiments with the pod: define proof goals, instrument results, interpret outcomes.
