Job summary

Foundation Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to own core products in its AI-powered pharmacy platform. You’ll lead architecture for prior authorization pipelines, Epic integrations, and AI agents handling patient calls and texts, while writing substantial code and setting team standards.

You’ll be hands-on by default, yet able to step back to ensure the product fits within the broader system. Expect high ownership, autonomy, and collaboration in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a product and making the calls that shape it.
• Track record of building complex systems from scratch and can discuss decisions.
• Hands‑on by default with ability to zoom out when needed.
• High agency and willingness to act without a perfect ticket.
• Comfort with ambiguity in fast-changing environments.
• Daily use of AI tools (Claude/Cursor) to push capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own one of our core products: prior auth pipelines, Epic integrations, and AI agents handling patient calls and texts.
• Set architectural direction and write substantial code; establish team standards and quality bar.
• Define roadmaps and cross-team dependencies; deliver software solving user problems.
