Job summary

Global Placement Firm is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join an early-stage healthtech startup building modern software infrastructure for hospital nutrition and clinical workflows. This role combines backend, frontend, and AI-focused work across a unified stack, with ownership from architecture to production.

You will collaborate with product, clinical stakeholders, and a lean team to ship AI-powered features that improve safety, efficiency, and patient outcomes in healthcare workflows.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years in a senior-level engineering role.
• Strong experience building modern full-stack applications.
• Proficient with TypeScript and React.
• Backend experience with Python, Go, or Ruby.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Hands-on AWS and serverless infrastructure experience.
• Experience shipping AI/LLM-powered features.
• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Build features across full tech stack including React, TS, PostgreSQL, AWS Lambda.
• Design scalable systems for complex healthcare workflows.
• Own projects from requirements to launch and monitoring.
• Develop AI/LLM-powered features to improve automation.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and quality.
• Collaborate with product and clinical stakeholders on tradeoffs.
• Lead engineering projects and mentor others.
• Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Contribute to engineering culture and best practices.
