Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience with Python and modern software engineering.
• Proficiency with TypeScript across the stack (frontend, backend, infra).
• Experience building high-throughput and distributed systems in production.
• Experience with observability, reliability, and mission-critical systems.
• At least 2 years in an early-stage VC-backed startup.
• Experience building/deploying AI applications (LLMs, ML pipelines).
• Strong cloud infrastructure experience, particularly AWS and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver greenfield software projects across the full technology stack.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain backend services, infrastructure, and frontend applications.
• Develop scalable systems to support growth from thousands to millions of interactions.
• Build end-to-end features in a TypeScript-first development environment.
• Work extensively with serverless AWS infrastructure and modern cloud technologies.
• Develop and scale high-throughput and distributed systems.
• Build and deploy AI-powered applications leveraging LLMs and ML technologies.
• Establish observability, monitoring, reliability, and production engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Director of Engineering and founding team on architecture and strategy.
• Operate with autonomy and take ownership from concept to production.
• Help establish engineering standards and culture as an early team member.
• Evaluate tradeoffs and make pragmatic decisions in fast-moving startup.
