Job summary

Amplitude is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the AI-native apps, agents, and tools team in the San Francisco Bay Area on a hybrid schedule. This role will design and build full-stack apps and tools to solve high-leverage operational use cases across the business, and develop service connectors that enable AI and automation across systems.

You will own the full software development lifecycle, drive improvements, and deliver impactful solutions for Finance, People Ops, Product Ops,

Qualifications

• 5+ years engineering experience shipping and running production services.
• Full-stack development experience spanning frontend, backend, tools and integrations.
• Experience with data warehouses and SQL-based systems.
• Experience with frontier AI tooling including harnesses, MCP servers, and agents.

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack apps and tools to solve high-leverage operational use cases across the business
• Build service connectors that enable AI and automation tools to work across business systems
• Evolve our tools and processes to increase team velocity, simplify our technical stack and leverage new AI-native approaches
• Drive end-to-end reconciliation across financial systems from quote to revenue recognition, enabling cross-system reporting and end-to-end traceability
• Own what you build across the full software development lifecycle
