Job summary

Unity Technologies is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Mountain View to drive reliability and scalability of AI authoring products. You will lead DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes management, and infrastructure-as-code for robust disaster recovery and production readiness.

You will set cross-team deployment standards, build a trusted A/B framework, and oversee releases with client-server compatibility while enhancing observability and cost efficiency across backend systems powering asset generation

Qualifications

• Experience shipping complex, user-facing software at scale.
• Proven ability to deliver cloud backend services with Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Influence product roadmap with product, design and engineering teams.
• Design and implement scalable solutions for Unity AI and backend platforms.
• Improve reliability, performance, observability, security, and cost-efficiency of backend systems.
• Lead deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and Kubernetes-based operations.
• Run spikes to address infrastructure needs on Azure and Google Cloud.
• Develop and mature infrastructure for promoting code from development to production with Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
