Ladders is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our data platform team, focusing on building and evolving the core data platform that powers large-scale information workflows.

You will architect systems that ingest, normalize, and serve high-volume data with an emphasis on reliability, traceability, and observability, collaborating across teams in a remote US environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in building and operating large-scale production systems.
• Expertise in data ingestion, entity resolution, and normalization at scale.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience with incident response and reliability improvements.
• Mentoring peers and guiding technical decisions.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will focus on building and evolving the core data platform that powers large-scale information workflows. You will architect systems that ingest, normalize, and serve high-volume data with a strong emphasis on reliability, traceability, and operational performance. This is a highly cross-functional role that blends platform engineering, AI-assisted data processing, and production support in an enterprise environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $164,450 – $226,550 annually

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of the entity data platform
• Design systems for ingesting and serving large volumes of vendor data

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in data ingestion, entity resolution, and normalization at scale
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, data pipelines, or AI-powered classification
• Strong skills in code, system design, and architecture patterns
• Ability to design systems that combine probabilistic and deterministic approaches
• Experience in incident response and reliability improvements
• Track record of mentoring peers and driving technical decisions
