Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Architect to join a leader in information technology, with a focus on scalable, high-volume distributed systems. You will own the technical direction for major initiatives, partnering with engineering and product teams to enhance performance, reliability, and consistency across services.

Remote – US-based candidates only. Compensation: $185,400–$231,800 annually. Opportunity to apply modern AI tools and define data contracts for humans and machines alike.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with high-volume transactional systems, ideally in trading or financial environments.
• Strong knowledge of messaging systems; Kafka preferred.
• Proficiency with Go and .NET/C# and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with FIX, gRPC, and Protobuf.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Practical experience using AI tools in production.

For our client, we are seeking a Software Architect to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape scalable architecture for high-volume, distributed systems that support critical transactional workflows. You will own technical direction for major initiatives, partnering closely with engineering and product teams to improve performance, reliability, and consistency across services. The position also offers the opportunity to apply modern AI tools in production environments while helping define clear patterns and data contracts for both human and machine use.
