Join our Engineering team to shape the future of compliance automation. We are seeking a senior backend engineer with 8+ years of experience, deep Ruby expertise, and a track record building scalable integrations and public APIs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend experience with modern languages (Ruby, Python, Go).
• 6+ years of Ruby experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals.
• Experience building large-scale integrations and public APIs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead scoping, design, and implementation of new end-to-end functionality.
• Perform detailed code reviews and provide technical mentorship to engineers.
• Lead architecture and discussions for core parts of the Secureframe application.
• Own multi-team coordination for cross-cutting initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices across the team.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to solve user challenges.

What you'll do ...

• Lead technical scoping, design, and implementation of new end-to-end functionality
• Perform detailed code reviews and provide technical mentorship to engineers
• Lead architecture and architectural discussions for core parts of the Secureframe application
• Own multi-team coordination and communication for cross-cutting initiatives
• Work closely with other Staff engineers to establish and guide best practices across engineering
• Work closely with designers and product managers to solve ambiguous user challenges

Who we're looking for

• 8+ years of backend experience with modern programming languages like Ruby, Python, Go, etc.
• 6+ years of Ruby experience
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
• Deep experience building large-scale integrations with experience building and documenting public facing APIs
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
• Passion and ability to work well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
