Job summary

ActBlue Charities Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead Extensibility and Integrations, building tools and data-exchange capabilities for fundraising administrators.

You will work full-stack with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript to craft scalable integrations and reliable APIs. You will partner with product and design to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability while guiding cross-functional teams through multi-quarter initiatives and architectural

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of relevant professional experience with technical leadership for multi-quarter initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database modernization for large-scale systems and secure donor data.
• Design and implement scalable data solutions and robust APIs for high availability.
• Guide cross-team initiatives, balancing impact, scope, and technical tradeoffs.
• Break down work across epics and shape roadmap priorities.
• Improve database performance and data retrieval, and craft strategic integrations.
• Act as a technical consultant on architecture, extensibility, and data exchange.
• Promote monitoring, code quality standards, and future-proof maintenance.
• Provide documentation, testing, and clear communication; mentor engineers.
