Job summary

ActBlue, a nonprofit tech platform, seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead Extensibility & Integrations. You will architect data exchanges, build scalable APIs, and steer cross-team initiatives using Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript.

You will collaborate with product and design, drive performance and security improvements, and mentor engineers while shaping the roadmap for future fundraising integrations. This remote, full-time position offers strong compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of relevant professional experience leading multi-quarter initiatives.
• Proven ability to build and maintain large monolithic web applications.
• Deep understanding of performance, scalability, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database modernization and scalable data solutions.
• Design and implement robust APIs for data integration and vendor interoperability.
• Guide cross-team initiatives, prioritize roadmaps, and reduce technical debt.
• Mentor engineers, improve testing, monitoring, and documentation.
