Ladders is seeking an Engineering Manager, Site Reliability to lead a team dedicated to uptime, performance, and operational resilience across a consumer-facing technology environment. This remote role is US-based candidates only.

You will define technical direction for reliability, partner with engineering and product teams, drive incident management, and push automation and observability initiatives while balancing urgent incidents with long-term infrastructure investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• 2+ years managing or leading engineering teams.
• Professional experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and related technologies.
• Experience in production incident response and reliability improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Site Reliability Engineers, setting clear goals and providing feedback.
• Define technical direction for improving system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish reliability standards and enhance user experience.
• Drive incident management and operational excellence, including post-incident learning and service-level objectives.
• Promote automation and self-service tools to reduce operational toil and improve deployment confidence.

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, Site Reliability to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will guide a Site Reliability Engineering team focused on strengthening system uptime, performance, and operational resilience across a consumer-facing technology environment. You will partner closely with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to shape reliability priorities, improve incident response practices, and raise the bar for service health. The position requires balancing urgent operational needs with long-term investments in automation, observability, and scalable infrastructure. Clear communication of risks, progress, and technical direction will be essential in this highly collaborative leadership role.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $214,000 – $226,000 annually
