Job summary

Compass is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to help build and scale security across a large real estate tech estate. You will drive security in design, mentor engineers, and partner with product and engineering to embed secure practices in CI/CD and cloud deployments.

You will lead by example, implementing SAST/DAST/SCA tooling, automating security testing, and advancing AI-powered security capabilities while aligning with SOX-adjacent controls and governance in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical work experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in DevOps/Agile environments with security focus.
• Experience with multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical security results and shape roadmaps for engineering teams.
• Automate and scale application security within CI/CD pipelines.
• Advise product/engineering teams on secure-by-design practices and risk evaluations.
• Promote secure-by-design architectures across product lines and agile teams.
• Lead and mentor engineers in security testing, tooling, and best practices.
