Compass, a leading global real estate platform, is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to drive secure-by-design practices across CI/CD, product features, and AI security capabilities. You will partner with Product and Engineering to automate security testing, influence architectures, and advocate for security across the org.

This role offers a base pay of $210,000–$234,100 plus bonuses and stock, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years administering CI/CD pipelines and security tooling.
• Experience with SAST/DAST/SCA and automation scripting (Python/Bash).
• Security reviews for Python/JavaScript/TypeScript/Golang/Java solutions.
• Hands-on IaC (Terraform) to provision secure infrastructure.
• Practical AWS experience aligning product delivery and security.
• Experience applying AI to security processes for efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Automate and scale application security within CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with engineers to embed secure-by-design practices.
• Act as security advisor for features, tooling, and services.
• Advocate for secure design across the organization.
• Foster collaboration across Product and Engineering teams.
• Drive AI-powered security capabilities and AI‑SPM frameworks.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and adopt new security tech.
