Job summary

Early Warning is seeking an experienced Staff Security Application Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise proxy and DLP security. The role collaborates with audit and governance teams to ensure regulatory compliance and safe data handling across cloud and on-prem environments.

The position requires deep expertise in proxy technologies, DLP, firewalling, and SASE architecture, with strong scripting skills and experience supporting financial institutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 8+ years in network security engineering with 5+ years in proxy and DLP.
• Experience with financial institutions and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Netskope.
• Proven collaboration with audit and compliance teams on control testing.
• Deep knowledge of proxy protocols and DLP principles.
• Expert in firewall config, secure web gateways, and SASE.
• Strong scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and optimizes proxy and DLP solutions.
• Acts as SME for proxy and DLP, guiding teams and leadership.
• Integrates security solutions (Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Netskope).
• Ensures compliance with PCI DSS, SOX, NYDFS.
• Designs and tests controls to meet governance policies.
• Monitors health and reliability of proxy/DLP systems.
• Defines and enforces security policies with governance teams.
• Advises security operations on incidents related to proxy/DLP.
• Keeps documentation up to date with architecture diagrams and procedures.
