Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Staff Security Application Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network security infrastructure with a focus on proxy and DLP.

You will serve as SME for proxy/DLP, deploy and integrate Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto Prisma Access, and Netskope, and work with audit and compliance to meet PCI DSS, SOX, NYDFS.

This role drives policy, tests controls, ensures health and reliability, and develops detailed documentation for governance and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• At least 8 years in progressive network security engineering.
• 5+ years focused on proxy and DLP solutions.
• Experience with financial institutions and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on with Defender, Prisma Access, Netskope.
• Strong scripting and Zero Trust knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and optimizes proxy and DLP solutions.
• Acts as SME for proxy/DLP to guidance teams.
• Integrates security tools from Microsoft, Palo Alto, Netskope.
• Collaborates with audit/compliance to meet regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, SOX, NYDFS).
• Designs and tests security controls for governance and regulation.
• Oversees health and performance of proxy/DLP systems.
• Advises security operations on incidents related to proxy/DLP.
• Stays current with trends and recommends improvements.
• Develops detailed technical docs and runbooks.
• Supports risk management and policy enforcement.
