Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Staff Security Application Engineer in the Scottsdale area to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network security infrastructure focused on proxy and DLP.

You will work with audit and compliance teams, integrate Defender, Prisma Access, Netskope, and drive adherence to PCI DSS, SOX, NYDFS; hybrid work in select cities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in network security engineering; 5+ years with proxy and DLP.
• Experience with financial institutions and regulatory/compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Defender, Prisma Access, and Netskope.
• Strong scripting skills for automation; knowledge of Zero Trust.
• Knowledge of proxy protocols and firewall/SASE architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and optimizes proxy and DLP solutions to protect sensitive data and ensure secure network access.
• SME for proxy and DLP, provide guidance to engineering teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
• Deploys and integrates security solutions from vendors such as Microsoft, Palo Alto, and Netskope.
• Collaborates with audit and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Designs, implements, and tests security controls to meet standards.
• Oversees health and reliability of proxy and DLP systems.
• Consults with security/governance to define policies.
• Advises security operations in investigations of incidents.
• Stays abreast of trends and recommends new tools/processes.
• Develops and maintains detailed technical documentation.
