CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to design, build, and deliver cloud-based healthcare navigation and cost-estimation solutions on Google Cloud Platform. Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering enterprise-scale software in distributed systems.
• 5+ years in Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• 5+ years designing and operating cloud-based enterprise solutions.
• 5+ years building modern microservices and scalable APIs.
• 3+ years CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• 3+ years Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with AI/GenAI platforms in software products.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable software within Cost Estimation & Navigation AI portfolio.
• Drive architecture across distributed services, APIs, and platform components for scalability and security.
• Partner with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate requirements into production solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, manage dependencies, and address engineering tradeoffs.
• Develop cloud-native apps, microservices, and APIs using modern patterns.
• Ensure performance, availability, failover, scalability, and security requirements.
• Evaluate architectures and recommend improvements for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Lead PoC development and explore AI/GenAI capabilities relevant to portfolio needs.
• Apply data analytics, orchestration, and large-scale service integration patterns.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering excellence via code/design reviews.
• Communicate with stakeholders to align teams and drive initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements, including PII/PHI handling.
