Job summary

Braun Intertec is seeking a Project Engineer to lead environmental investigation and remediation efforts. You will scope ESAs, design remediation and soil vapor systems, develop cost estimates, and coordinate field tasks across multiple sites.

This role emphasizes mentoring, budget oversight, and client communication. The position requires a civil/chemical/environmental/geological engineering degree, PE eligibility within six months, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, chemical, environmental, or geological engineering, or related engineering degree.
• PE registration or ability to be registered within 6 months.
• Ability to read and independently analyze and interpret technical reports, guidance documents, and regulations.
• Strong technical writing skills in reports and correspondence.
• Attention to detail and effective verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Scope and manage Phase I ESAs per AIA/ASTM standards.
• Scope and manage Phase II ESAs and RI at contaminated sites.
• Conduct Brownfield redevelopment remediation and related services.
• Prepare feasibility studies and cost estimates for environmental projects.
• Prepare engineering plans and specs for contractor bidding.
• Design remediation and soil vapor mitigation systems.
• Prepare new project proposals with scopes and cost estimates.
• Perform data analysis and prepare environmental reports and plans.
• Train and coordinate field personnel and resolve field issues.
• Travel to local, regional, and national sites as needed.
• Assist senior staff with regulatory matters for clients.
• Manage projects including budget and client communications.
