Harvey Nash in Campbell, CA seeks an experienced Staff Robotics Software Engineer to architect and optimize software for a robotic medical platform. You will build real-time C++/Python modules, state machines, and ROS-based components, collaborating with controls, hardware, and systems teams to deliver reliable robotic solutions for medical applications.

The role requires 8+ years in software for robotics, strong OO design, and experience with ROS and RTOS environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience or equivalent.
5+ years of hands-on robotics software, control systems, or state-machine driven apps.
Proficient in C++ and Python with real-time Linux experience.
Experience with robotic control software and real-time state machines.
Strong OO design, software architecture, and design patterns.

Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and optimize software for a robotic medical platform.
Develop, validate, and test real-time C++/Python components and algorithms.
Design and implement high-performance, real-time applications in Linux environments.
Collaborate with software, controls, systems, and hardware engineers to deliver integrated robotics solutions.
Translate requirements into scalable software designs and implementations.
Support testing frameworks, simulations, and validation environments.
Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement.
