Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Robotics in Campbell, CA. This full-time role is onsite two days per week and hybrid the rest. You will design and implement real-time C++/Python software for the Telos robotic platform on Linux, collaborating with software, controls and hardware teams.

Experience with safety-critical medical applications is a plus. Required: BS/MS in CS/CE with 6+ years in robotics; ROS, QNX, multi-threaded architectures and strong OO design.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE with 8+ years experience or MS with 6+ years.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with robotics, real-time control, and state machines

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test real-time algorithms, state machines for Telos robotics platform.
• Implement C++ real-time code on Linux and test in production environments using C++ and Python.
• Collaborate with software, controls, system and hardware teams to deliver robotics software.
• Understand user and clinical needs to drive software development.
• Contribute to testing and simulation environments; participate in design reviews.
