Job summary

Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center, a 120-bed facility, is seeking an RN Supervisor to oversee nursing operations and staffing in a rehab-focused setting. The role involves organizing care, supervising floor nurses, and ensuring high-quality resident care with compassionate, individualized goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Licensed & registered in good standing in New York State as an RN.
• New grad RN welcome to apply.
• Experience with geriatric patients desirable.
• Knowledge of elderly, chronically ill needs and infection prevention principles/methods.
• Ability to communicate well with residents, families and staff.
• Covid-19 vaccinations encouraged but not mandated.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing department operations and staffing guidelines.
• Administer medications and treatments, document on the unit.
• Report ongoing observations to Charge Nurse or Nursing Supervisor.
• Demonstrate basic clinical skills and knowledge in resident care.
• Identify/respond to patient concerns and maintain quality care.
• Prepare resident assignments with consideration of needs and staff competency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of ADLs and meals.

Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is a 120-bed facility offering excellence in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a lovely homelike environment that recently underwent a LARGE-SCALE RENOVATION, IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT, AND ADMINISTRATION! With a focus on rehabilitation and recovery, our skilled team of therapists and healthcare professionals assist residents in achieving optimal health and well-being. Our mission is to provide high quality care to all with respect and compassion through a team approach that focuses on personalized goals. The role of the RN Supervisor is to be responsible for the operation of the nursing department and facility as well as organize and maintain staffing guidelines to meet resident needs.

• Relief Supervisors work as floor nurses and are designated as back ups to the RN Supervisor and may be asked to Supervise as needed on their shift.
• Registered Nurse, RN utilizes the nursing process in the care of designated Residents, administers medications & treatments to residents, & documents appropriately on assigned nursing unit
• Registered Nurse, RN Reports findings of ongoing observations/assessments to the designated Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, &/or Unit Manager
• Registered Nurse, RN demonstrates knowledge of basic test/lab collection values, deliver direct resident care consistent with the policies/procedures & Resident Bill of Rights, in combination with demonstrated clinical skills/knowledge
• Identify/respond timely to patient concerns/needs
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills necessary to ensure appropriate quality patient care
• Registered Nurse, RN will prepare resident assignments considering the category of needs of the patient & competency of personnel, monitor/evaluate the flow of activity & delivery of patient care provided (positioning, bathing, etc.) & assure documentation records (ADLs, meal intake, etc.) are completed for CNAs
• Registered Nurse, RN is punctual and/or provides proper notification for lateness or absenteeism

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing
• Licensed & registered in good standing in New York State as an RN
• Experience with geriatric patients is desirable, but not required. New grad RN welcome to apply!
