Job summary

Middletown Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Middletown, NY is seeking an RN Supervisor to oversee unit activities, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality nursing care for residents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Organizes/oversees/supervises assigned unit activities and staff assignments
• Demonstrates clinical expertise consistent with nursing practice standards
• Identifies and responds to patient needs in a timely manner
• Monitors, observes, and documents vital signs, treatments, and patient responses
• Administers medications and treatments as needed
• Communicates plans and concerns with the team, residents, families, and medical staff
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team, physicians, and vendors/services
• Leads emergency situations and maintains nursing reports and census roster

• RN Supervisor organizes/oversees/supervises assigned unit activities & staff assignments
• Demonstrates clinical expertise which is consistent with the established standards of Nursing Practice
• RN Supervisor will identify & respond, appropriately & timely, to patient needs
• Monitor, observe, & document vital signs, treatments administered, & patient responses.
• RN Supervisor will administer medications & treatments as needed
• Communicate & direct services or any plan/concerns/information to appropriate team members, resident, family, or medical staff
• Identify & follow disciplinary action as stated in policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, physicians, & other vendors/services
• Perform RN assessment to resident’s post incidents or change in condition
• Lead & direct emergency situations – (Fire, Elopement, etc.)
• Maintain accurate nursing report, staffing sheets, & census roster

Requirements

• Current & good standing RN License in State of New York
• Experience with geriatric/short term rehab/Alzheimer’s patients is desirable
• Progressive nursing experience, supervisory experience preferred
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, & elderly
• Have patience & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers
• Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, & organization skills
• Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff
