Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN license in Georgia in good standing, and BLS certification. Preferred candidates may have a BSN and additional life-support credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing, with no limitations.
• BLS certification per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Performs care consistent with Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
