Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and guidelines.

The role requires an active Georgia RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and BLS certification. Preferred candidates may hold a BSN and additional life-support credentials for specialized units.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adheres to the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
