Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in Atlanta to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients under physician orders and established guidelines.

The role requires GA RN licensure in good standing and BLS certification; BSN preferred with potential for additional life-support credentials and unit certifications. Work hours are 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing.
• BLS certification required per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
