Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients under physician orders and established guidelines, in alignment with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The role emphasizes independent planning, patient safety, and high-quality care across units.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, GA RN license in good standing, and BLS certification; BSN preferred and relevant clinical experience beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adheres to the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
