Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse who will independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and Georgia Nurse Practice Act guidelines. You will manage care for an assigned group of patients and uphold Northside's values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Work hours are 7am to 3:30pm, with no weekend, no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree preferred.
• One year of experience in Occupational Health or Public Health Nursing, or other clinical specialty certifications may be considered.
• Visual color acuity may be required for specific units.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Manage care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the hospital's philosophy and policies.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. The practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• One (1) year of experience in Occupational Health or Public Health Nursing,
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units including the Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
