Williams Bros Health Care Pharmacy in Indianapolis is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess patient needs and determine the best equipment and services. You will involve patients, families, and caregivers in the selection process and instruct on proper use and care.

You will communicate changes with the patient's physician and adjust care plans, document plans of care and assessments, and participate in educational meetings for healthcare workers, patients, families, and community members.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.

Responsabilidades

• Instructs patients/clients in the proper use and care of equipment according to the written policies and procedures for the equipment.
• Communicates with the patient's physician on changes in patient's condition and adjusts the patient's plan of care or treatment; completes patient/client accounts paperwork, including plan of care/treatment and assessments.
• Acts as a liaison between the company and the patient/client, family, caregiver, physician and other health care agency and staff of the case.
• Conducts, participates and attends educational meetings and seminars for health care workers, patients/clients, families, caregivers, physicians and interested community members on areas of need.

The Respiratory Therapist will assist in collecting information and/or authorization if referral is from party other than the physician. He/she will asses the needs of the patient and the best choice of equipment and/or services to meet those needs. The Respiratory Therapist involves the patient, family, and/or caregiver in the selection process. You will also instruct patients in the proper use and care of equipment according to the written policies and procedures for the equipment. The Therapist will communicate with the patient's physician on changes in patient's condition and/or needs and will carry out adjustments to the patient's plan of care or treatment. Will work in the Indianapolis location.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.

Job tasks:

• Instructs patients/clients in the proper use and care of equipment according to the written policies and procedures for the equipment.

Store Hours: M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (plus RT on-call)
