UNC Health Appalachian is seeking a Staff Ready Float to support non-clinical units such as Patient Observation, Admissions and Transport. You will communicate with patients and families to ensure a safe, positive experience and assist with patient movement and non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a hospital/healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Support non-clinical units such as Patient Observation, Admissions and Transport.
• Communicate with patients, families, and team members to ensure a safe, positive experience.
• Assist with patient movement, transport, observation, and non-clinical tasks.
• Maintain compliance with policies, safety procedures and service standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility to meet departmental staffing needs.
• Uphold UNC Health Appalachian values in interactions.
