Job summary

TE Connectivity in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Staff R&D/Product Development Engineer to drive innovative connector solutions from concept to production. You will translate customer needs into robust specifications, perform analyses, and lead design reviews with OEMs and suppliers.

The role requires strong Creo CAD skills, FEA experience, and the ability to work with global teams across multiple disciplines to deliver rugged, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of progressive product development experience.
• Experience in commercial transportation or automotive connector design preferred.
• Strong CAD skills with Creo; modeling and GD&T experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development projects from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Translate customer requirements into product specs and design concepts.
• Perform design analyses and testing to validate ruggedness and manufacturability.
• Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and EBOMs; coordinate cross-functional reviews.
• Coordinate testing with global labs and document results for gate reviews.
