Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to design rugged connectors from concept to production. You will translate customer requirements into robust specifications and lead testing and design reviews.

The role requires 10+ years of experience in product development, strong Creo CAD skills, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams. Expect to work on cutting-edge interconnect solutions for ICT applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years of progressive product development experience.
Experience in commercial transportation or automotive connector design.
Strong CAD proficiency, preferably Creo.
Experience with stamping, plating, and assembly processes.
Experience in material selection; polymers, metals, elastomers.
Design for manufacturability, sustainability, and cost optimization.
Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of FEA tools (Ansys, Creo Simulate).
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to advanced new product development with minimal supervision.
Translate customer requirements into robust product specifications.
Collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to drive design to production.
Create 3D annotated models, drawings, and EBOMs.
Develop test plans and validation documents (DVPR/PVPR).
Coordinate testing at global labs and present designs in reviews.
Guide go-to-market strategy for interconnect solutions.
