Unity, a leader in real-time 3D development, seeks a Staff Quality Engineering Lead for Gaming AI. You will shape the quality bar across frontend, backend, and dependent systems, using AI-assisted code review, automated test generation, and change-aware test selection.

You will drive evaluation methodologies for non-deterministic outputs, tie quality to creator outcomes, and partner with engineers, artists, and product managers to raise standards at scale.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software quality engineering, SDET, or quality leadership.
• Experience with AI-assisted code review and automated test generation.
• Knowledge of evaluation methods for non-deterministic systems (LLM-as-judge, multi-run).
• Ability to tie quality work to product outcomes and business results.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the quality strategy for Gaming AI across frontend, backend, and related systems.
• Build AI-native quality systems, including AI-assisted code review and test generation.
• Design evaluation methodologies for non-deterministic outputs and multiple judges.
• Drive defect analytics, triage, prioritization, and visibility across teams.
• Embed quality practices early in requirements and design stages.
• Partner with engineers, artists, and product managers to raise quality standards across the organization.
• Take ownership of release decisions under time-to-market pressure.
• Contribute to Unity AI architectural and roadmap decisions.
