Job summary

Second Nature is seeking a Staff Quality Assurance Engineer to own and elevate our automated testing across multiple pods. You will drive AI-first testing strategies using Claude, build robust test frameworks, and partner with engineers to embed quality into the development process.

This remote-first role requires strong leadership, deep test automation expertise, and the ability to influence across product and tech teams. The compensation reflects a senior, high-impact position in the US market.

Qualifications

• Staff-level engineer with experience designing, coding and owning test automation frameworks across layers (unit, integration, contract, browser/e2e).
• Strong with AI-first testing approaches and MCP tooling to accelerate quality engineering.
• Excellent communicator, able to align engineers, PMs and leaders across pods.

Responsibilities

• Own the automated-testing strategy and frameworks across our UI product (Resident Onboarding first).
• Build a risk-weighted registry of critical flows and dashboards showing test coverage.
• Lead AI-first testing with Claude, MCP tooling, APIs and CLIs for rapid, repeatable checks.
• Modernize integration testing with API-based automation and close environment/testability gaps.
• Coach teams to embed quality in design and PR reviews, driving ownership of tests.
