Hone Health is seeking a Quality Engineer II to join our Engineering team. This early-career role centers on owning the quality of your features, writing automated tests, and collaborating with senior engineers who will mentor you toward Quality Engineer III.

You will test and automate, using AI tools to accelerate work while maintaining strict guardrails to keep patient data synthetic in tests. This remote-first role includes equity options and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Roughly 1-2 years of software quality, testing, or test automation.
• Experience writing automated tests in Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Comfortable with Git, test suites, and basic debugging.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain test cases for own features with minimal guidance.
• Own testing for small features and bugs, delivering on time.
• Develop reliable automated tests (end-to-end in Playwright and API tests).
• Triage flaky tests, write clear, reproducible bug reports.
• Work with AI tools to draft tests and selectors, review outputs.
• Maintain patient-data guardrails: use synthetic test data.
• Provide concise code and test reviews and share progress with the team.
