Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Project Engineer to support Advanced Development Programs (ADP). You will coordinate across engineering teams, ensure program requirements are met, and drive project development and process improvements.

Responsibilities include owning day‑to‑day execution, identifying risks and opportunities, and briefing leadership on project performance. Travel to government sites will be required to oversee surveys and customer interactions.

Qualifications

Standard Job Description

You will be a Project Engineer for supporting Advanced Development Programs (ADP) you will be responsible for coordinating across engineering teams, ensuring program requirements are met, and delivering project development and process improvements.

  • Own day‑to‑day engineering execution for assigned programs, ensuring performance, cost, and schedule targets are met.
  • Identify issues, risks, and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies to proactively manage technical challenges.
  • Brief Leadership on projects and contract performance Status.
  • Travel to government sites to oversee site survey's and customer interactions.

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering or alternative Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree
  • Prior technical project leadership experience
  • Experience developing and managing project/program schedules (Microsoft Project, Open Plan, or similar)
  • Experience communicating with multi-disciplined engineering teams
  • Experience working with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Already holds minimum of Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills
  • Coordination with Classified IT, Cyber and Government Sites for deployment of Infrastructure and Govt locations before
  • EVMS (Earned Value Management System) and/or CAM (Control Account Management) experience
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity management and systems such as ROADS
  • Experience with project performance and metric tools such as Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), OpenPlan and Tableau.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
