Job summary

Kong is seeking a Staff Product Manager for its AI Management product team, based in its Milan office. You will own the product direction for AI management and infrastructure modules, defining requirements and driving delivery with engineering across time zones.

You will partner with product marketing, sales, and enablement, balancing feature work with technical debt and dependencies while supporting field activities globally.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of product management experience with a track record of owning and shipping technical products.
• Experience driving product delivery across distributed teams across time zones.
• Able to translate ambiguous technical problems into clear product requirements for engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication in multiple languages, across stakeholders and levels.
• Comfort discussing MCP servers, transport protocols, data plane architecture, and infrastructure trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own the product direction for AI Management modules that govern agentic AI and infrastructure.
• Drive cross-product infrastructure and dependencies to connect modules with Kong's platform.
• Own a clearly defined roadmap, balancing new features with technical debt and platform work.
• Act as the connective tissue between engineering, design, product marketing, and leadership.
• Support regional field activities and enablement where proximity adds value.
