Job summary

Okta is seeking a talented Staff Product Designer to shape its expansive product portfolio in identity and security. You will own long-term design strategy, collaborate with design leadership, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade experiences for IT, security admins, and end users.

You will mentor designers, drive design systems, and push for AI-enhanced processes while balancing user needs with business goals.

Qualifications

Degree in a related field or relevant work experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer.
Proficient in Figma or similar design tools.
At least a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
A digital portfolio showing depth across a variety of projects, including work that shipped and was used in real products.
7+ years of experience as Product Designer

Responsibilities

Own the long-term design strategy for your product area across multiple releases.
Partner with design leadership to define patterns and standards.
Lead through influence with product, engineering, research, and content teams.
Design end-to-end journeys spanning the Okta portfolio for multiple personas.
Apply systems-thinking to connect user insights with business goals.
Facilitate co-creation workshops with PM and Engineering.
Mentor senior designers on projects and career development.
Present ideas to adjacent teams and senior leadership.
Advocate AI in research, brainstorming, prototyping, and collaboration.
