Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff Product Designer to shape the identity and security UX across a broad product portfolio. You will design end-to-end journeys for IT admins, compliance owners, and end users, while mentoring junior designers and shaping long-term strategy.

The role emphasizes systems thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the thoughtful integration of AI to improve usability and outcomes. You will align with PM and Engineering, travel or on-site presence is required in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field or relevant work experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer.
• Proficient in Figma or similar design tools.
• At least a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• A digital portfolio showing depth across a variety of projects. (Portfolio link required when applying.)
• 7+ years of experience as Product Designer

Responsibilities

• Own the long-term design strategy for your product area across multiple releases.
• Partner with design leadership to define patterns and raise the quality bar.
• Lead through influence with product, engineering, research, and content teams.
• Design end-to-end journeys across personas including IT, admins, and end users.
• Apply systems thinking to connect user insights to business goals.
• Facilitate co-creation workshops with PM and Engineering.
• Mentor senior designers and support their growth.
• Present ideas to leadership to drive alignment.
• Advocate thoughtful use of AI in researching, ideation, and prototyping.
