Job summary

Okta seeks a talented Staff Product Designer to shape its expansive identity and security product portfolio. You’ll own long-term design strategy, collaborate with PM/Engineering, and mentor others while delivering end-to-end experiences for IT admins, security teams, and end users.

A strong portfolio and 7+ years in product design are required. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, integrate AI thoughtfully, and balance user goals with business needs across complex systems.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in product design or UX.
• Proficient in Figma or similar design tools.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Portfolio showing shipped product work.
• 7+ years of experience as Product Designer.

Responsibilities

• Own long-term design strategy across releases for your product area.
• Define patterns and standards with design leadership.
• Lead through influence across product, eng, research, and content.
• Design end-to-end journeys across personas including admins and end users.
• Apply systems thinking to align user insights with business goals.
• Facilitate co-creation workshops with PM and Eng.
• Mentor senior designers on projects and growth.
• Present ideas to stakeholders and leadership to drive alignment.
• Advocate for thoughtful use of AI in research, iteration, and prototyping.
