Job summary

Handshake is seeking a Staff Product Designer for the Network team to shape onboarding, acquisition, activation, referrals, and growth. You will own end-to-end experiences for millions of users, collaborating with product, engineering, data science, marketing, and brand to deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences that drive engagement and value from the first interaction.

You’ll lead design from concept through post-launch iterations, advocate for design thinking, and apply generative AI

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience, ideally at-scale consumer products.
• Experience designing for millions of active users in growth or social environments.
• Strong communicator able to present design decisions to partners and leadership.
• Deep visual and interaction design expertise with proven impact.
• Experience designing for growth: acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement or referrals.
• Ability to incorporate generative AI tools to accelerate ideation and iteration.
• Fluent with both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions.
• Highly collaborative and design-led, with a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, marketing, data science, and content teams to define problems and shape strategy.
• Own end-to-end design from concept through post-launch iteration: flows, prototypes, mocks, and implementation.
• Design experiences across acquisition, onboarding, activation, referrals, and growth.
• Translate behavioral insights into simple, intuitive experiences.
• Iterate rapidly with wireframes, prototypes, and experiments to improve conversion and retention.
• Collaborate on growth experiments across landing pages and onboarding flows.
• Maintain high craft in visual design, interaction design, and systems thinking.
