Checkr, Inc. in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join the Growth team.

Lead design work across funnel optimization, onboarding refinements, and personalized flows, driving conversion and customer success in a self-serve, product-led environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply quantitative and qualitative insights, and champion user-centric design while leveraging AI to tailor experiences for SMB customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional design experience, including Growth/ecommerce
• Experience driving conversion, basket price, and product adoption
• Onboarding and merchandising surface expertise; iterative experimentation (A/B testing)
• Ability to conduct UX research independently and synthesize insights
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and balancing craft, thinking, and business needs
• Interest in B2B SMB context is a plus

Responsibilities

• Embed with Growth team; help define roadmap, vision, and lead design work
• Own design for funnel optimization, NUX, and personalized guided flows
• Leverage AI to create personalized customer experiences
• Design growth systems, experiments, and new product features from insights
• Champion seamless, delightful experiences for SMB users
• Facilitate workshops and translate ideas into testable designs
• Distill complex information into clear user experiences from ideation to high-fidelity deliverables
• Build relationships with interdisciplinary teams to ship user-friendly products
• Participate in UX research and advocate for users
