Job summary

Superhuman is seeking a Staff Product Designer for the Core team to shape how users work with agents and AI across Docs, Mail, and more. You will define interaction models, set a high bar for quality, and influence long-term direction as the system evolves with Go.

You will lead End-to-end design of AI-native experiences, ensuring clarity and usefulness of agent behavior, while mentoring and collaborating with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience, with a track record of owning complex, ambiguous problems end to end.
• Hands-on experience designing AI-native products with natural language interactions.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills with craft across layout, motion, and polish.
• Excellence in prototyping as a way of thinking and communicating ideas.
• Experience prototyping or building with modern AI-assisted tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make.
• Curiosity about AI, awareness of industry trends, and willingness to experiment with new tools.
• Ability to operate at Staff level by setting direction and raising the quality bar across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of Go across standalone and embedded surfaces, from intent to execution.
• Design and evolve core chat and agent experiences with high clarity and power.
• Define AI-native experiences that make agent behavior understandable to users.
• Use high-fidelity prototypes to explore new interaction models and AI behaviors.
• Deliver polished interfaces with thoughtful micro-interactions and motion.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content to align on direction.
