AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Product Designer to shape the future of its product experience. You will lead through craft, systems thinking, and deep understanding of customer workflows, partnering with product, engineering, and AI teams to align design with business goals.

You’ll translate complex data-driven problems into intuitive experiences, mentor designers, contribute to the design system, and champion AI-enabled workflows that are trustworthy and scalable.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product design with a strong portfolio.
• Bachelor's degree in product design, HCI, CS, or related field.
• Expert in end-to-end customer workflows and data-rich problems.
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools; can communicate via flows and hi-fi prototypes.
• Strong collaboration with engineering; knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS; React a bonus.
• Active use of AI to augment design from research to iteration.
• Awareness of AI and search tech and applying it to product experiences.
• Leads complex projects end-to-end; navigates ambiguity.
• Mentors designers and elevates craft across the team.
• Excellent communication and storytelling; influences stakeholders.
• Curious, proactive, and able to drive context and momentum.
• Experience in financial services, investment workflows, or data-heavy SaaS is a plus.

• Translate customer insights into actionable product direction with empathy.
• Define design strategy for key initiatives and connect user needs to business outcomes.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into scalable experiences.
• Elevate design quality by contributing to design system and patterns.
• Design for systems and advance consistency across the product.
• Stay ahead of trends, AI capabilities, and apply ideas to improve UX.
• Communicate complex ideas clearly and influence cross-functional partners.
• Work closely with engineering to ensure high-quality execution.
