Job summary

Chewy in Boston is seeking a Staff Product Designer for Retail Experience to shape Autoship and personalization across the end-to-end path to purchase. You’ll translate customer insights into a 12-18 month experience direction and partner with Product, Technology, Research, Analytics, and senior leaders.

As a senior IC, you’ll mentor designers, drive cohesive solutions, and contribute to other high-impact storefront initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product design or related design fields.
• 4+ years leading large-scale design initiatives and mentoring designers.
• Demonstrated portfolio with complex design problems and strong outcomes.
• Experience designing interconnected experiences across journeys or platforms.
• Strong core product design skills including IA, UI, prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of Autoship and personalization with a cohesive design strategy for 12–18 months.
• Lead design thinking across the path to purchase from discovery to enrollment and ongoing management.
• Frame high-impact opportunities balancing customer needs, business goals, and constraints.
• Partner with Product, Technology, Research, Analytics and senior leaders to align roadmaps and tradeoffs.
• Apply craft to create intuitive experiences and scalable design standards across Autoship and personalization.
• Use research and metrics to measure engagement, conversion, and loyalty.
• Coach and mentor designers to improve craft, thinking, and decision-making across teams.
