Job summary

Superhuman is seeking a Staff Product Designer for the Core team to shape how people interact with AI agents across Go, Docs, and Mail. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, design quality, and scalable interaction models in a hybrid work environment.

You will lead the design of AI-native experiences, prototypes, and craft that makes advanced AI feel intuitive and reliable. A track record in complex product design and senior collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience, with a strong track record of owning complex, ambiguous problems end to end.
• Hands-on experience designing AI-native products, especially products that involve natural language interaction or multi-step work.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills, with craft across layout, motion, micro-interactions, and polish.
• Excellence in using prototyping as a way of thinking, communicating ideas, and bringing interactions to life.
• Experience prototyping or building with modern AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make, or similar.
• Deep curiosity about AI as a field, including hands-on exploration of new products, awareness of industry trends, and regular experimentation with emerging tools.
• Ability to operate at a Staff level by setting direction, influencing strategy, and raising the quality bar across teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities across multiple efforts, collaborate effectively with partners, and stay effective in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of Go design, shaping how users express intent and interact with agents.
• Design core chat and agent experiences with a high bar for clarity across surfaces.
• Define AI-native experiences that explain system behavior and rationale.
• Prototype interactively to explore new models, motion, and AI behaviors.
• Deliver polished interfaces with thoughtful micro-interactions and animation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content to align on direction and value.
