Job summary

Superhuman is seeking a Staff Product Designer on the Core team to shape how users work with agents and AI across Docs, Mail, and beyond. This highly leveraged role defines interaction models, quality, and long-term direction for Go, influencing the everyday user experience.

You will own end-to-end design from intent to execution, collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content, and craft polished interfaces, micro-interactions, and motion that feel intuitive and alive for desktop,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience with ownership of complex problems
• Hands-on experience designing AI-native products with natural language interaction
• Strong interaction and visual design skills with craft across layout, motion, and polish
• Excellence in prototyping as a thinking tool and communicating ideas
• Experience prototyping/building with AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make
• Curiosity about AI and hands-on exploration of new tools and trends
• Ability to lead direction at staff level, influencing strategy and quality across teams
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in fast-moving environments

Responsibilities

• Own the design of Go across surfaces, shaping how users express intent and work with agents
• Design core chat and agent experiences with a high bar for simplicity and clarity
• Define AI-native experiences and ensure agent behavior is clear and understandable
• Use high-fidelity prototypes to explore new interaction models and AI behaviors
• Deliver polished interfaces, micro-interactions, and motion that feel intuitive
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content to align strategy and execution
